Sarah says....."At the beginning of first COVID 19 lockdown in March 2020, I thought it would be a good distraction to start a community project, to make a hand sewn sampler. I wanted to incorporate all my favourite techniques into my sampler.... hand embroidery, applique, English Paper Piecing and Hand Quilting. I named it the #sewalittlehappinesseverday sampler and I shared my ideas and grid on my blog, along with some suggestions to get people started. As the pandemic progressed and more and more people became aware of the project, I started to receive many requests for a printed kit. So, inspired by my original sampler, I first came up with the idea for a series of seasonal kit, but I loved it so much I couldn't stop there.....

Introducing the Cottage Garden Sampler. I am somewhat of an expert ‘potterer’. I love to head out first thing each morning with my cup of tea to open the Potting Shed door and see what has been happening in the veg and flower beds. This on most occasions in the summer months then leads to a bit of deadheading, pulling up of weeds….yes I know we should be embracing them according to RHS Chelsea Flower show, but yellow dandelions do not fit with my pink roses!
